What Is Fluoride?

However – not every city in America fluoridates its drinking water. Each individual U.S. city gets to decide whether to fluoridate their water supply or not.

To see if your city fluoridates its water supply:

• Use this tool from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
• Visit the EWG National Drinking Water Database and enter your zip code.
• Reach out to your local water department and request that they test your water.

Fun Fact: Grand Rapids, Michigan was the first U.S. city to add fluoride to tap water in 1945.

How to Remove Fluoride from Water

Did you know that fluoride is notoriously difficult to remove from source water?
